Default Delay after dropping out of a random PvP match.

It's getting silly with all the leet faction farmers who drop out of PvP matches when they realize they've not been paired exclusively with warriors, eles and monks. Last I played my mesmer, I didn't get to fight with a full team in four tries - every time someone dropped when they saw there was a mesmer on the team. I know others have had the same experience bringing necros or rangers to 4x4 random arena.
These people drop because they feel they can make more faction by entering another match (which normally takes less than 30 seconds) than playing through the match (which normally takes 3-5 minutes). By dropping they make it very, very, difficult for the team to win.

My suggestion is to add a delay so that anyone who drops out of a random 4x4 PvP match has to wait 2 minutes before entering the next match.

I've seen this suggestion before, and I am in FULL support of a couple-minute delay from dropping.

You get the folks who say: "But my internet dropped me! Don't punish!" My argument is, if you have been dropped by your internet, you aren't online to actually be punished by that few minutes.

The only thing about the delay penalty, is it maybe would create a bigger class of AFK faction farmers.

On a side note, I was amusedly watching my husband doing some random arena, and they were winning match after match. There was this one warrior who they ran into several times, who NEVER MOVED. Now, entering the mission and suddenly having the phone ring once is reasonable. Entering the mission time after time, and never actually playing? That guy was waiting for his team to do all the work.

(Really quite a logical leap to think that not helping your team will help you farm any faction at all, but hey. There are lots of stupid people.)

Great idea and 1 min is not going to punish pc glitch / disconnect from internet.
It most likely take that long to get back in the game.

It is incredible annoying when someone drops out of the team in a PvP match because when your on a team of 3 people and your fighting 4 people, you can really feel the massive disadvantage.

A few days ago after having 4 PvP matches in a row where someone dropped out, I whispered the guy who dropped out and asked him why he did it. He replied because one of the players wasn't level 20 and the team would have less chance to win. Though with him dropping out, we had even less chance to win

WHo in their right mind would choose an Elementalist over a Mesmer in a random match....it makes no sense to me. Unless the whole team was warriors and the mesmer was anticast....

A 1-2 minute penalty for dropping that early in the match would be great. I'd rather not be punished for dropping much later into the match, when I realize that my team has no rezzes left and no chance to win but some shmuck on my team is dragging it out by running around in circles, or something like that. Sometimes dropping is justified!

When I'm at home on my wireless network, I drop constantly, and even I support penalties for dropping in the middle of matches. Too many people abuse this for us to let them get away with it just because a few people lose connection sometimes.

Further thought: how about a "drop penalty" of two minutes less time spent in the match?

e.g., drop before the match begins = two minute wait. Drop 30 seconds into the match = must wait one minute and 30 seconds. Drop two minutes or more into the match = no wait.

I guess that's what everyone does when they agree. (I'm a master nubbinz at this fourm :P) Although I've never had this problem, faction farmers are dumb. I mean come on no one needs faction that bad....Or do they?...
